Hurricane Melissa Relief Mission Update
Grace Period remains committed to completing the final phase of delivering donated clothing, hygiene items, dry foods, pampers, and essential relief supplies to communities in Jamaica following our Hurricane Melissa Relief Drive.
Since the conclusion of the collection phase, our team has continued working diligently behind the scenes to coordinate transportation, storage, and shipment logistics to ensure these donations safely reach the communities we pledged to support.
This mission has required extensive coordination, including organizing collection drives, developing marketing outreach, transporting and packaging donations, and maintaining secure storage while final shipping arrangements are finalized.
At this time, Grace Period is actively working through logistical challenges that have impacted the shipment timeline. A partnering organization that committed to supporting shipping costs during our joint benefit effort has not yet fulfilled that pledge. Additionally, coordination with a referred shipping provider has resulted in unexpected delays in securing reliable transportation to Jamaica.
Despite these challenges, Grace Period has continued covering storage, transportation, and operational coordination costs to preserve and protect the donated items while alternative solutions are pursued.
Our organization is currently seeking reliable and experienced shipping partners familiar with transporting humanitarian relief goods to Jamaica. We welcome recommendations, resources, or professional contacts that may assist with completing this phase of the mission.
Supporters who have asked how they can assist with final shipment logistics may contribute through our secure donation link or QR code available below. Contributions are optional but help offset storage, transportation, and shipping costs associated with delivering these donations safely and responsibly.
Grace Period remains fully committed to transparency, accountability, and fulfilling the promises made to the communities we serve. We will continue providing updates as progress is made.
Thank you to our supporters, volunteers, and community partners who continue to stand with us in this mission.
